1.Battery (Initial and over charging)
Still, many people believe that charging our smartphone overnight may cause damage to the battery and the phone may explode, but it is a myth. Lately, the technology has been developed very much and any smartphone that is launched in the last decade is capable of stopping the electrical input once the battery is completely charged so no harm guys don’t feel shy to charge our phone overnight. And one more myth regarding charging is that initial charging for a prolonged period when we buy a new smartphone is not actually needed.
2.More ram is better
The bigger the better it is right? But not all times. We may think that if a phone has more ram memory it should perform well, yeah...but the performance also depends on various other factors, so just for a fact that phone A has higher ram than phone B doesn’t mean it should perform better or phone A is better, it depends on how much ram do we actually need.
3.Refreshing is not needed
This is something most of us do, whenever we boot a PC or a laptop the first thing, we do is F5 F5 F5 bang Refresh...but actually it is not needed. Refreshing just refresh your screen and it doesn’t speed up your PC or laptop.
4.Signal strength bars
You might have thought that the signal bars displayed in your smartphone indicates your signal strength, well not quite right. Actually, these bars indicate the proximity of the user from the nearest tower, simply put it indicates how far you are from the tower. So, there are chances that you may have full signal strength, still face some network issues, due to congestion.
5.Safely ejecting USB is needed
This is one of the most common myths. You may have heard that if you did not click the safely eject button before removing your pen-drive, it will be corrupted. But there is no need for this, if the drive is not in use at that time you can simply plug it out.
6. Facebook, WhatsApp free....
Facebook and WhatsApp are some of the most common apps we all use and we think that they are free apps and we just need to pay for our data to use these. But that is not entirely true, they do get benefited from each of us by collecting our data. You will be shocked to see what are all the information Facebook and Google know about us and they get benefited by targeting ads based on those data.
7.More mega-pixels are better
It is the same case as the ram, more megapixel camera alone doesn’t mean we can capture amazing photos from our smartphones. The software, sensor size, focal length, image processing all these things play a part in this. As I said earlier posts, Apple’s iPhones don’t have 108MP cameras but still, they are one of the best camera smartphones.
8.Incognito mode is not so incognito
So, every browser has this ‘incognito mode’ or private browsing. But browsing with this mode on will not make you anonymous, still, your internet service provider will be able to track you and it won't keep your identity hidden from the sites you're visiting, it just restrains from saving the history in your device.
MacBook doesn’t need anti-virus software, bigger the file better will be the quality, normal magnets can affect the hard-drive, you shouldn’t use 3rd party chargers to charge your smartphones, smartphones cause cancer, should not use smartphones at gas or petrol bunks are some other common tech myths.
