Every smartphone has different battery capacities. Larger and brighter screens, high-end processing, and huge applications take a toll on your battery life. So, are there any tricks to improve your battery life, fortunately, yes there are. Use these following tips and I guarantee you guys your battery life will be doubled just like that!! Sorry guys I was just kidding, there are no such tricks which magically doubles your capacity. But still, there are some things you can do to improve your battery life and use it efficiently.

1.Display Brightness
Let us first talk about the display. It is in fact one of the most used features in a smartphone, you are constantly viewing at the display or interacting with it. So, it is one of the things which consumes the maximum amount of your battery. Here the tip is to instead of using Auto-Brightness setting, you can switch it to manual mode. Though Auto-Brightness is convenient, most of the time it sets the brightness at a higher level than you actually need. So, quickly go to settings and switch to manual mode and set the brightness at an optimum level.
2. Display Timeout
As we are speaking of displays, there is a thing called ‘Screen Timeout’, this determines how long it takes the screen to power down when it's not being used. And setting this timeout to less than a minute, say 30 seconds or even 15 seconds can make a difference. Sure, you can change this whenever you want a higher screen on time.
3. Communication Services
Yes, a smartphone is basically a communication device and we make frequent use of features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Location services, and even NFC for certain devices. And the processors these days are efficient enough to handle all these, yet turning off these features when not in use can push your battery a little bit further. But as I mentioned before, it is just all about covering that one extra mile.
4. Background apps
Though it is not always advisable to kill all the background apps since it has to start from scratch to restart it, but there is a catch. Basically, there are two kinds, the apps which you use frequently and the ones which you do not use frequently, simple isn't it. There can be some apps running in the background which you may not use that often but sucking all the batter all day long. So, to remove all the background apps which you don’t use frequently and keeping those which you open often is advisory for better battery optimization.
5. Wallpapers
At some point, every one of us might have used those fancy live wallpapers and all that. Though you can make your smartphone home screen supercool with some of those crazy live wallpapers but it takes a toll on our battery. So, come on guys be a good person, make the sacrifice and keep a normal wallpaper which helps to save your battery, you can do that, right?
6. Notifications
Though notifications may seem like something which you really need or something which is a necessity, but it is always not the case. So, let’s see when a notification arrives your screen turns on, the processor alerts the notification LED to blink if there is one and the haptic engine provides the vibrations that are needed. See, how hard your smartphone works to notify you that some stupid mail arrived stating you have a new assignment to submit (we students, know that struggle) or your RummyJungle or some account credited with 1000 points (no offense ‘RummyJungle’ guys), do you really need your smartphone to struggle that much, no right? So, go on turn your notifications off where there is no need for you to get notified and save yourself some battery.
7. The Statistics
The final tip is to check your battery usage stats in the Settings, there may be some apps that you may not use regularly but utilizes a larger amount of your battery power. So, if you come to find any suspicious things like this, you can uninstall or disable that particular app to save your battery.
So, that is it guys these are my 7 useful tips for better battery life.
